Re: Mitsu/DSM active rear toe.

Definitely a mod that's worth it. There are other ways to accomplish eliminating the active rear toe in built into the DSM/GVR4 rear suspension than the $175 Jay Racing kit, but it's probably the most advisable way. The other ways include welding big washers in place of wear the rubber toe bushing t...

Re: 24 hours of lemons at NHMS

That's "JROC-Z" Supra, and I hope they have their electrical gremlins worked out. That car is fast and driven fast and deserves to do well. Our Volvo is slow and driven well (by some of us, anyone, certainly not me) and does well despite itself. Stop by and say hello. I think we're in gara...

Re: SCCV: 2010 Event #3 at SLMP on September 4-5, 2010

At least one part-time hillclimber that'll be there. I only have one day of SLMP in the last two years, so I needed a fix. I used to go at least 4 days a year. There is no better driving-time to cost ratio event you'll find, honestly. Hoping to break 58.00 this time around... been crowding the low 5...

Re: cheap sfi 5 suit link of the day.

Thanks Seth! Cheapest 3-layer suit price I've ever seen. A Medium blue one-piece is on they way to my house. Prolly would be slightly better with a Large (I'm right at the top of medium size range) but no way I'm going to be a walking Yellow flag. That's the only color they have left for Large.

Re: 2010 NEHA Rules Meeting and Banquet

Thanks for the flexibility in the banquet/rules meeting date. I haven't made one of these yet and was hoping to go this year until I saw it conflicted with the Buffum rally. Now it doesn't. Nice Christmas present! Thanks Don T. and Dave B. for making it happen. :P

Re: Need a Helmet

Hey Ralph,

You're welcome to borrow mine, but it can be pretty hard to swap a helmet between run groups given the logistics of Philo. I have cross-posted your request here, though: http://forums.sccv.org/viewtopic.php?f= ... 029#p26029 I'm sure you'll have one you can borrow!

Re: Plilo October 17-18, 2009

Hoping to double drive the Lemons Volvo 240 wagon (the cow) with Jason Ross. Hopefully we'll keep her on the black part, but really, she's already more than done her part of being a darn fine piece of crap. Class P4 I'm guessing?

Re: Various tires/ Falken Azenis 255/4017 and BFG R1 255/40/17

Hey Alex,

Ever try to put either one on a 8" wide rim? Conventional wisdom says 8.5" is the minimum width for 255, but I figured I'd ask, anyway. :?

Re: Burke I Video

Great videos! Nick, the camera you're using seems to have great frame rate and the light balancing is just about perfect. Man that's a lot of time in 4th gear. Quick tip on posting them on YouTube - to get the benefit of "video SEO," and perhaps have people more easily find the NEH...

Re: Mitsu 4wd question (attn: Don T., Alex G. et. al.)

Good advice. I'll mount them up and run them only at the Storyland autox next week. After that and perhaps SLMP a month later, the fronts will likely be much closer to the rears in terms of tread depth. :)
