Thanks for the timing cover tip. The Triumphs are always off a little. Usually just +/- 1-3 degrees. Although I did have one on a stock motor that I found full 10 deg off. Of course I found it after I spent 50 hours chasing Lucus and rebuilding carbs trying to get it tuned. So... the fluid balancer ...

Anyone know anything about fluid damper/balancer for small block ford? Good, bad, ugly?

well...it looks like Sherm is correct. The "P" in GT40 P heads means production. Straight GT40 heads are sold through Ford Racing Dept. Aluminum are only on select models. I'll be hitting the swapmeets next month.

What's the problem w/ the T-5 tranny. I was just looking at a couple. 1 was a tremac T5.

Oh...and yes mopar is heavy and I thought the spitfire front trunions might be over challenged w/ the mopar.

Are they iron or aluminum?

Is that the straight GT40 or the GT40-P heads?

Oh. I thought Ford put them on something. The P head (from what I have found) has odd plug angle and depending on what it was in has emmission holes in diferent places.

Anyone know what models the aluminum GT40 heads for a 5.0L came on? I have looked at a bunch of sites and forums but it is not easy to put it all together. Thanks, Brian
