Re: My '86 GTI build

Walt- I ran the same TDI 02J for 5 seasons of rally and hillclimb with stock gears and never had any problems. Most of my driving was 3rd/4th and I would leave the line in 2nd since 1st was so short, so those three gears took all the abuse. I installed a dog gear set in the case this Spring and all ...

Ice Racing

Hi guys. Some of you may know that I have been importing and selling DMack gravel and tarmac rally tires the last couple of years, well they also make an ice racing tire. I am putting together a special order for some folks from the Adirondack ice racing club and some Canadian racers and figured I w...

No, sorry David that's ea. These are $220 ea from Tirerack, I'm offering them for that price with the wheels, or save $20 ea over new. These have never been run, just driven around the parking lot.

Re: DMack Competition Tires Anyone?

Just wanted to give folks the heads up that I do have some DMack tarmac rally tires in stock. Unfortunately right now I only have two sizes: 225/40-18 and 195/50-15. The 18" is available in both tread designs below and the 15" is only in the style on the left. I have the 15" listed at...

Re: Anyone here have a tire tractionizer?

I don't know Matt but I did stumble on his ad selling the tractionizer. I was thinking the same thing about it still being around. I struck out on my other lead so I'm still looking.

Re: Anyone here have a tire tractionizer?

I plan to get medieval on a set of tires I'm testing! I know one of the guys who was posting on that ice racing board so I sent him a message and have heard a rumor that a shop in the Worcester area may have one.

Thanks for the tips.

Anyone here have a tire tractionizer?

I've got a set of tires I'd like to tractionize, I know some of you ice racing guys probably know someone with a tractionizer. Preferably someone within close driving distance to Springfield MA. If you have any leads please let me know.

Thanks
Justin

Re: DMack Competition Tires Anyone?

I figured some of the ice racing guys may be into those (even though they aren't legal for US rally) so I asked about pricing. Turns out there's only one place in Sweden that is set up to drill the tires and install those big studs so I was told they are special order and would be around $300 ea. I ...

DMack Competition Tires Anyone?

I just wanted to let everyone know about a new brand of competition tires that I am going to be importing and distributing this year. The brand is DMack Tyres, they are designed specifically for rally but I figured there may be some interest here in the tarmac line. I am focusing on the gravel tires...
