Re: Slicks at Mt. Washington
I ran a set of 4 year old R6's in 2011. We did groove them, well as much as you can groove old used tires. They were not to bad (I did ok in that event) but this year we are going with fresh A6's, grooved :-) I guess it depends on your expectations on the hill. A lot of folks hammer the paved sectio...

Re: Slicks on non caged car
Thanks guys! Yes they are truly non DOT tires.. I do not care about my class or being competitive. So knowing I will have to run in a prepared class, the question still stands, do I need a cage or can I just run in that class with the slicks.... I have the tires, buying another set would run me a bu...

Slicks on non caged car
Hey guys, I have found a used set of race tires and wheels for my new street ride. The only covet is they are Hannook Slicks. I will be running my stock 2013 WRX and trying to save my stock wheels and tires. Can I run slicks without a cage? Not sure what class the stock WRX with non DOT tires would ...

Re: Adding living quarters to 32' Gooseneck
I got my 3 way rear view camera installed. Being new to a trailer this big as well as the gooseneck, these should make it a little easier to backup. http://i45.tinypic.com/s44ep2.jpg I also started measuring the tie down locations for carrying two atv’s with one on a trailer. This way we can disconn...

Re: Adding living quarters to 32' Gooseneck
Thanks for the kind words.. Well I got the truck and trailer weighted Steer Axle 4400 Drive Axle 5700 Trailer Axle 5580 Gross Weight 15680 It appears that the empty weight the previous owner told me of 7k was a bit on the high side. I am pretty happy with these empty numbers. Heavy pin weight but wi...

Re: Adding living quarters to 32' Gooseneck
I took a few days off from work to get a bunch of stuff done on the trailer. We are painting it this weekend. I removed the fenders and wheels and POR-15ed the fender wells. http://i49.tinypic.com/11t7toh.jpg The next day I brought it over to a buddies shop to paint. Since it is so big it had to be ...
