Tubular Tales for EveryRacer.

Jon Asher, the ‘Conclusion” of Tubular Tales, From the BME website: Elongation is of critical importance, because race cars are constantly flexing, twisting and bending in ways that we can only imagine – or try to replicate on a computer. “Seeing” those twists is impossible without serious instrumen...

Re: Tech Committee Bulletins on Cage Construction

I'd like to add some simple criteria for visual inspection of welds, and basic workmanship, to avoid nausea in the tech line if nothing else. Suggestions for a FEW example photos, or better-than-my illustrations, are welcome. Suggestions from our Webmaster on a location for the "supplementals&q...

Re: Safety gear recomendations

Remember to check the place in Charlotte NC, who have thousands of lightly used crew and racing suits for sale, at good prices. racingjunk.com is where I find 'em - always a good place to look around for used HANS and similar safety gearas well. Kevin Gale found his car there!

Re: Howe Mod Heavy

The springs and retainers you're replacing were sourced from Ricky Craven's BGNN team in '89 or so. IIRC, they were titanium retainers, and the springs were "K-motion" or similar high-end stuff. I'm surprised at the interference marks on the rockers - as I had clearenced the old Crane rock...
