I don't think he's being "nasty." Walter is one of the tech inspectors and would rather not disappoint someone at tech inspection after driving such a long way for something that could easily be avoided by taking a quick glance at the rules.

If you want to race, it would be best to get there Friday afternoon/early evening so that your car can go through tech. My goal is to get there by 2:00, and we could use my truck (with cap) to run equipment up to checkpoints. That being said, I don't always achieve every goal I set... But I'll do everything I can to get there by then to help out.

I just paid $81.00 and I gave them my address but I didn't know that so I didn't ask, still not a bad deal for three nights. I was told $25.00 a day plus $6.00 reservation fee.
