Re: New to HC

I don't think he's being "nasty." Walter is one of the tech inspectors and would rather not disappoint someone at tech inspection after driving such a long way for something that could easily be avoided by taking a quick glance at the rules.

Re: New to HC

Hi Barry, and welcome! Are you coming as a driver, worker/volunteer, or just checking things out? If you want to race, it would be best to get there Friday afternoon/early evening so that your car can go through tech. There is a tech inspection on Saturday AM, but the more cars that get through tech...

I bought 5 cheapo lavalier microphones on Amazon for $6, free shipping. Anything is better than the plastic encrusted mic on the GoPros.

I'd say Ascutney is the least favorable for a 1st time hillclimber as the combination of road camber and bumps is worse than any other hill. Okemo is perfectly fine for a rook...

Re: Burke 2015-Pick ups + help needed

My goal is to get there by 2:00, and we could use my truck (with cap) to run equipment up to checkpoints. That being said, I don't always achieve every goal I set... But I'll do everything I can to get there by then to help out.

Re: SPRING ASCUTNEY 2015

I believe we'll be running the "medium" course, that ends at the first parking turn around. They have traditional (Erik's reference to the medium course / aka short hill), the long hill (to the top!), and the too short (honest, it has never happened before to me). Haven't heard what they ...

Re: SPRING ASCUTNEY 2015

I just paid $81.00 and I gave them my address but I didn't know that so I didn't ask, still not a bad deal for three nights. I was told $25.00 a day plus $6.00 reservation fee. Is it a discount for the clubs or just for residents? Next time I'll ask. Any word on which course? Long or short, I hope ...
