Re: Happy Birthday to me (280z build)

wow that's a lot of poke. Why so much wheel/tire? There is a point where you have more tire than needed and it actually slows you down, on my car anyway (gutless). Maybe you can get away with less and not have to put such huge flairs on?

Re: 1973 VW Super-Beetle(1303) Hill-Climb Build

Everyone is going to have a difference in opinion. Even in my class, with very similar cars, we're all running much different set ups. Mine is stiffer than many, yet I feel the most comfortable with what I have now. Obviously my car is completely different than yours, and in no way compares...but I'...

Re: 1973 VW Super-Beetle(1303) Hill-Climb Build

I don't see a problem with a battery in the car. Many of us are racing with a battery inside the cab. From my understanding, it just has to be contained in a box and have the positive terminal insulated as well. Securely fastened is a given too. Otherwise, I don't see why you'd get heat for putting ...

Re: Happy Birthday to me (280z build)

Cool, on your way now! I want to see what that looks like in the bay. That intercooler is the same version that I used on the rabbit last season. Scored one for cheap on eBay.

Any updates on the chassis progress?

Just curious, is the l28t you pulled junk or a runner?

Re: Happy Birthday to me (280z build)

it'll be interesting to see a turbo rotary in that thing. looking forward to seeing it. Hard to believe that a turbo rotary ends up in SP6, that'd be very tough combo to beat there. I used to run that class but got bumped to sp5 at some point. I guess there are some sort of factors for rotary engine...

Re: Happy Birthday to me (280z build)

what class does a turbo rotary end up in? As for the LED automotive bulbs, almost all that are out there are junk. They are all mass produced oversees with knock-off components, even the LEDs. The biggest issue is that they just try to get a lot of light output and don't worry about the fact that yo...
