Re: Pikes Peak

Pike's Peak 2012 is already over-subscribed. Too many entries. You can still enter but it's a waiting list. See this:

Re: Anyone for tarmac rally?

Hey Walter, fantastic idea to bring a hillclimbing class to RNY. I am definitely interested. The M3 has the stock fuel tank, so no worries there. Cage is good. A few questions though: 1) I read the tyre bulletins for both RNY and the FIA regional rallys. I'm a bit confused. I think we need 17% void ...

Re: Pikes Peak

I am certain that I will get something to race at Pikes Peak, even if it means fixing my M3 to the state it was in 2011. However I want to drive something faster, much faster . I am power-starved at the moment (or is that power-hungry?). My M3 was racing last year with 240 WHP, which is not really e...

Re: Pikes Peak

Yes, I am racing Pikes Peak this year! Wooo hooo. Come and join me, it should be excellent. Price goes up 1 January 2012.

Of course, my M3 is pretty broken at the moment. I am trying to decide how to fix it, or even what to race next year...

Re: 2011 Pics & Vids

Sherm's comment about the black rubber strip being left by the kiwi, yep, that was me. One wheel drive. :-( That has been my M3 for the last couple of hillclimbs, Mt Philo and Ascutney II at least, and probably Okemo II. What used to be a LSD is now a completely open diff. Hence the black tire strea...

Re: What did you learn at Mt Washington?

I learned a few things. In no particular order 1. Get some experience in your car before the event. Learning to drive a "new" car at Mt Washington is a challenge 2. The better you can memorize the hill (especially the top section), the faster you can go when fog obscures your view of the r...
