Re: So......

wow Sherm, that'd be awesome! I have two sets, both suck, so I'll find the best and we'll talk.. I won't 'have any bike play time until Sunday night at earliest I was down to just one bike, my old Honda TL125 that I beat around the property and ride some trails with, so needed another pile of a proj...

Re: So......

Right there Sherm, that's the plan...it's a pile so definitely a clean slate for me to play with. The 400 is less desireable, but price is right and it comes with a complete 2nd engine too. A mix of a tracker and some sort of brat, probably some tires with some knobs as it will be a summer daily and...

Re: So......

just a commuter, for fun, bike...that is free from my Stepbrother and in a box. It's an XS400. Actually a complete bike without carbs, then a box full of another bike and some carbs...going to make something simplistic and fun to beat on and sip fuel ...although this warmer weather got me into my ga...

Re: So......

Hehe me too on the bike project... project sickness with no cure in sight

I'm itching to do some racing. Hope to make 4 or 5 events if possible, but life seems to get in the way a lot lately.

The diesel soot shooter will be there as much as possible..

love the fab work, great job. I've had to do similar stuff, got a drawer of homemade tools. This one you just built is awesome

Re: My '86 GTI build

looks real good! I think you'll like the raised shifter. Mine is in a similar spot and it's comfortable, little movement needed to get from the wheel to the shifter

Re: Happy Birthday to me (280z build)

I really appreciate fabrication work, and like the ideas here, but I'd almost just stick with the stock rear for the first year. There must be options for springs or dampeners that are better than stock...or being soft might be perfect. Could always set up bump stops to prevent u joint bind too. Dru...

Re: Happy Birthday to me (280z build)

I agree with David on the .120 wall. I did the math when I did my cage too and there's so little difference that going with the heavier wall is a no brainer. The overall weight of a neha legal cage isn't even that high, at least in my car it wasn't. I've got 1.5" x .120". It's easier to wo...
