Thanks Walter & Frog, I understand the risks associated with a 1-layer suit, and will likely get SFI underwear as well. I'll also keep my multi-layer suit so that I have multiple options.

I've looked at the Technical Safety Requirements, as well as through this sub-forum, trying to figure out what the rule is on Racing Suits. I currently have an SFI/FIA rated multi-layer suit. While it is more than adequate, I would prefer to have a slightly less-insulated 2-piece suit... The Technic...

I had the R1Rs and then the R888s as Seth mentioned. The R1Rs were pretty darn sticky, but not nearly as sticky as the R888. The R1R might be a better mixed-use tire (wet & dry), and much less expensive. I never felt the car getting loose with the R1Rs, but upgraded to the R888s due to the R1Rs ...

I wouldn't be much help in the "immediate needs" category, but would be happy to help with paint/customization once the temperatures cooperate.
