Re: Real rules vs sorta-rules
Mopar-whatever...I'm not digging I'm posting my opinion. And I WAS there. I would write the same about any modern car with engineered crash protection. I could not care less about the R35. All cars do not fair equally in crashes. You are bending facts to fit whatever agenda you have and that stateme...

Re: Real rules vs sorta-rules
Steve I agree with the sentiment of this but not the historical facts that it suggests. Many comments are made on some cars being faster than others "out of the box" and how this parlays into the breakout rule. It's not a huge assumption that when some of these models are suggested that th...

Re: Real rules vs sorta-rules
"Mike why don't you just buy your own mountain and race on your own" Rules meeting quote. That's friend-talk right Nick? I can say with certainty that the cool kids club is certainly not afraid of letting it be known who is invited and who isn't. There are plenty more... everyone out there...

Re: Real rules vs sorta-rules
I should add to all this that I think everyone should have a cage, and that I think Mike is far more safe with one than without. For those who don't know me, my car has a cage. I think that the series presents itself better if everyone has well prepared cars. I think also that Don and Walter or whoe...

Re: Real rules vs sorta-rules
There should then be no breakout rule if safety is truly the first interest of all the competitors. Allowing the least experienced drivers to compete with the least amount of safety equipment is creating a loophole that people are then upset about later. Smokey, I know that many (not all) people her...

Re: Real rules vs sorta-rules
I'd like a comparison model made for a homebuilt POS with a 1st timer built cage in a crash test against Nissan GTR with no cage. Perhaps we should cage motorcycles too just in case. These arguments continue not because we want Mike to be safe. Half of you don't even like Mike. They are being made f...

Evolution VIII ECU- Autronic SMC Stand alone
Selling an Autronic SMC ECU- This is a plug and play (I hate writing that) Ecu which means that it fits into the standard ECU case as required by Group N. This means you don't have to make a harness. It's an SMC, Chip Version 1.99 It's a great ECU with anti-lag capability and scalability for any set...

Re: STI fueling question
I know we have an appt coming up but what I meant earlier was to pressure test the manifold not the fuel injection. There could be a vacuum leak on one runner or even after the MAF. The catch is that a vac leak becomes a boost leak so damage would be done at part throttle not W.O.T good to pressuriz...
