Vehicle Mounted Tow Hooks vs Tow Straps

I have a metal tow hook on the rear of the WRX and was going to install a two strap in front. Is a front tow strap acceptable for the hillclimb series or is a metal tow hook required for front as well? If any of the techs can please reply, I'd appreciate it. I need to order the parts and want to get...

Re: BURKE HILLCLIMB 2013

I would have loved to attended this event but my only sponsor has "requested" to have my car at the Subaru event (WBM) at Stafford CT this weekend.
I hope to see you all at Okemo next month.
Beast of luck everyone, it looks like Saturday and Sunday should be nice : )

Re: Real rules vs sorta-rules

Figures lie and liars figure. You never be able to completely eliminate the potential for people gaming the system. I do think however that (for lack of better argument) that OEM vehicle stock HP levels should be considered for having the "potential" to easily surpass the breakout time, an...

Re: Green Stuff pads?

DId you try these guys?

They were one of the few to carry pads for the Wilwood setup on my subaru.
I was previously running Yellow Stuffs and just upgraded to Blue Stuff. I'm hoping they're not too much for hillclimbs.

Gotcha.
If anyone could post once they hear that Okemo Mt. Road has officially opened to traffic, that would be great. Thanks!

Isn't OKEMO MT. Road normally open to traffic?

SO, a guy I work with also happens to work part time as an instructor @ OKEMO. I asked him Friday about OKEMO MT. Road access and he says "yea it's almost always open, you can drive up to the top". SO today I drive up from RI to check out the course/road conditions and, of course, the road...

Street Prepared Class - Wheel Calc. Question

I'm doing the calculations to determine the SP class of my car. The question I have involves calculated adjustments for wheel size and width of my current wheel setup vs factory available option size for my year/model; (e.g., the 2003 Subaru WRX had a factory BBS wheel option of 17"x 7"). ...
