Re: '84 GTI Build

We are also cool with the old standby of fuel hose run through electrical conduit - either the traditional EMT or the "oil tight" flexible. just don't run it thru structure! Or inside the same conduit as the battery + cable......

Re: Evo IV "FIA" Cages

T45 specifications: Chrome/manganese alloy, ~ ASTM B753, aka "Reynolds" tubing Tensile = 88,200 psi Yeild = 68,350 % Elong. = 17 Supposed to require less post-weld heat treatment than 4130, but I find no specs for "as welded" or "annealed" strengths - also rumored to be...

Re: Cars to hillclimb with - starting or otherwise

If somebody is looking to get into a P-# car on the cheap, and have a V-8 or stout turbo 4/5/6 cylinder, here's a smokin' deal! The nice thing about this for low-buck guys is the "Big spring/Camaro clip" combination, for which springs, chassis parts, etc are readily available and dirt chea...

Re: Rollcage Material Selection re;rule changes

It's better if the hole is drilled in the tech inspector's presence, and placed at his direction. There are ways to cheat with a pre-placed hole, the guage will be more accurate with proper placement of the hole, and Tech is more qualified to select the location of the hole with regard to strength.
