Re: OKEMO for a Newby?
Got it : ) Sachilles, one final question, is an air horn required to be mounted in the driver compartment to signal in case of accident and power cut? I have one I can bring/mount if needed. Yes this is a new requirement this year, if your car has a kill switch, you need an air horn. If you don't w...

Re: OKEMO for a Newby?
Got it : ) Thanks so much for the input everyone. Reg went into the mail today so I hope to see you there. I plan on driving up from RI early Friday morning so I should be there in plenty of time for rookie orientation and tech. Sachilles, one final question, is an air horn required to be mounted in...

Re: OKEMO for a Newby?
I'm biting the bullet. Reg is filled out and will be in the mail tomorrow. I guess the only way to learn is by doing so I'll just take it easy and see what I can learn about the hill. If you see me there please stop and say hi :) https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xft1/v/t1.0-9/11407003_88...

OKEMO for a Newby?
Question for the experts. I have autocross and HPDE track experience but no wheel-to-wheel racing or hillclimb experience. I've been interested in getting into hillclimbs for several seasons but the car had other ideas. It's finally ready and I was hoping to make OKEMO my 1st event. It looks like I'...

If someone could please answer a quick question while were discussing OKEMO....
How will registration be handled this year? Is it via Motorsport.reg or by mail-in only?

Re: OKEMO 2... IS OFFICIALLY FULL!!
Don't forget credit card companies charge the vendor/event organizer a surcharge of approx. 3% of each sale vs 0% for using a check to pay for entry fee. I would imagine that cost would be passed on as an increase in the entry fee amounts. Is it much, no, but it should be considered.

Re: OKEMO 2... IS OFFICIALLY FULL!!
Congratulations on filling up so quickly.
It might be worth scheduling more Okemo events for next season (if possible), since it seems to be the more popular location.

Re: HANS vs Necksgen, vs Simpson, etc, for Head Restraint
So, the Necksgen Rev provides frontal impact protection (like the HANS), as well as side impact (which HANS doesn't provide), and does not seem to be as restrictive in the rear sholder/back area? It also appears to be less expensive. IF the Necksgen Rev is accepted for events where a head and neck r...

HANS vs Necksgen, vs Simpson, etc, for Head Restraint
I have not had the opportunity to try several different models of head and neck restraints, so I'm looking for a little insight before purchase from the hillclimb folks. I'm aware of what "opinions' are like but... For those who have worn several types of these devices for hillclimbs, track day...
