Mt Washington down hill?

Post by sdwarf36 »

Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Ah the good old days. Imagine going 100mph on one of those things? LOL! Awesome.

The next time you're in the Observatory, read the list of those who have died on the mountain, and how. It's kinda humbling.... And if you have any desire to ride the Cog, talk to Nat Putnam at the Auto Road first. (He worked on the Cog for 5 seasons, IIRC)

I meant no disrespect but you know some of them crazy fools got a kick out of it. I've never been 'at' the mountain, in the area, when I go back I'll check it out.
Trust me I've never had any desire to ride the cog, no way.... You?

In the upper parking lot-with 70 other racers-who just drove as fast as they could up the mountian-standing around looking at the cog railway- we ALL said "I wouldn't ride that!"

The Observatory has to keep the door locked in the winter - because fools appear at the top IN SHORTS, IN DECEMBER.
