For you VW folks-Unicorns!

Post by sdwarf36 »

What your seeing never exsisted-so therefor these shouldn't exsist--but they (yes-plural) do.
Ever see a Corrado wagon? G60? Of course not. Seems like a good idea--enough for VW to make a couple of test subjects. The fate of test vehicles like this is almost always death by crushing. But somehow these twins survived 25 years. The owner saw them in an ad on the internet in a junkyard in Germany-he bought them + got them out of there to Holland-where they sat for the last 7 yeears-waiting until the 25 year statue of limitations was up-so he was able to get them in the country. My job was to wake them from their slumber. 8k kilometers on one-13k on the other.

Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

"Estates" are very popular in Europe so I can see why VW gave it a try. Nice looking cars in my opinion.
The older I get the better I was.
