I just downloaded Pikes Peak for (racing sim) GTR2.... it is the entire hill. A lot of detail. Had fun with 2WD Viper, but I need to map an e-brake lever to make it around the turns. I did have an off that resulted in me going from 0 (the impact) to 250 mph (straight down) and back to 0 (the second impact). Ouch.

You got rFactor? Try the group B rally cars.

Or heres a fun one for GTR2-- http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=2877
Thats just one car-but theres a whole car pack of them in various states of tune.

From the stories I've heard around the campfire, there is alot of BS that goes with that hill. Do ANYTHING wrong-you get fined. According to Don T., show up at the line with a dirty car-$50 fine. Wrong place in line? $500-pass a car on the hill $500 or more depending on the mood. (the Unsers have someone follow them with a suitcase of cash.)
They practice the hill over 3 days-bottom-mid-top. Your turn for the top you have to be up there at 4:30am--which means you have to be inline by 2am.

I knew they could fine you for crashing, but that is kind of ridiculous. There is something like 200 entrants, right?

I just want to go out there and check out the event, camp on the mountain, and watch Nubohiro tear that escudo up the hill. I want to get a look at the design of that car, its crazy. I have been having a really hard time finding good info on it...other than the fact that its a twin turbo V6 tube frame Grand Vitara..

I did know of the 3 days of practice... I didnt know you have to get in line that early? I thought they launched in order of car number..

..That hill is amazing.

Nope, just GTR2 and a great game called Flat Out 2. Good times there.
