Year-End Class Winner Plaques (opinions wanted)

Post by Rabbit Farmer »

Fellow NEHA-ians.

Looking for opinions regarding the standard place plaques that we have had forever that are metal, single color silk screen image, engraved name. Time for something different or do you like consistency. They are expensive!

Perhaps something smaller with the same look?

Same size but 100% printed (like the Philo dash plaques, but much better printing). I would photoshop something together to represent the year (or perhaps all the cars that were the class winners).

Thoughts?

Looking for your opinion of 'leave it alone' vs. 'yeah, let's go something new and here is my idea'

Thanks
Steve

I'd say same size but printed. Gotta fit the wood.

I like the look of the 2007 and 2009 plaques (NEHA and club logos printed, name and class engraved), the 2009 (generic - no name no class) was printed, used some generic racing icons and looks sort of cheezy to me. So I guess my answer depends on the end product. All printed so long as it is personalized and looks like it came from clubs proud to give it is fine with me.
The older I get the better I was.

I don't remember what the 2009 plaques looked like... SCCNH put those together. I was thinking of coming up with something really artsy-farsty. I can always post some options (assuming I have time to come up with more than one) and see what everything things. Each one will have the name and class along with appropriate logos printed on it. (so I have have to customize the files for each person.... no biggy as the text lines are separate from the art part of the document... in different layers if you are photoshop and the like savy).
