Spring Ascutney 2014

Post by Shenglehoffer »

The time is once again upon us, shovel out of your caves and dust off the cars, it's hillclimb season!

We will be running the long hill this spring.

You can register at http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/201 ... 1ZnMPq9Kc0

All info can be found here on the NEHA site under the Ascutney tab. When reserving a camp site, be sure to tell them you are with the auto hillclimb. Otherwise they will tell you there are no sites available.

See you there!

Same here...Some inconsiderate person at URI didn't look at the NEHA schedule when planning graduation...

What? No wings? :(
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Hoping I can do them for Burke. Also considering Mt Washington, as Bucky will be there with the camper, but I'll be working, so I'm unsure what time I'll have.

I have to be at the global rallycross in Barbados that weekend, otherwise I've worked things out to not miss NEHA events.

Same here, I couldn't convince UVM to change its graduation date, unfortunately.

"" I have to be at the global rallycross in Barbados that weekend."" Like we haven't heard that excuse before. 8-)

Awesome! I'm registered, now I just need to get the car running, driving, and inspected within 3 weekends. This could be a challenge.

what should I do if my car number is not available in the list on motorsports reg? I've been 06 for years, but when I try to find that number it doesn't show up...and now it's timed out so i'll have to start over. What should I do about not finding my number, register under another?

I would just enter under a different number. The number isn't that crucial for registration but you may want to talk to whomever is doing reg when you get there and give them the correct number.

Clarification: I'm not saying that the number isn't important. It really does help a lot when people give the correct number but in the overall scheme of things it's not that big a deal and it's more important to get registered under some number than not be registered at all.
