Burke 2015 Media Thread

Post by drummingpariah »

By now I hope you're learning the drill. All the footage captured by our awesome volunteers has been uploaded to my server, and is available to you fine folks to use however you'd like. We had an excellent event, and I hope we can get all our photos and videos together in one place.

Expiration: July 31, 2015 (upload or download what you'd like before then, otherwise you'll have to talk to me!)

If you'd like to use the upload client (which is significantly faster and easier to use), shoot me a message and I'll walk you through it. It's not difficult, but if you took a lot of photos/videos using the browser can be tedious.

For what it's worth, I hope to have my worker cameras a bit better organized for Okemo. If someone is willing to step up and be the 'media manager' I'll be happy to provide a laptop and big external drive that everyone can load onto. I just need someone willing to take on the daunting task of managing all the batteries, cards, and files. Between camping, building the car, and racing, I'm finding that I can't quite do it all by myself. This is my 'minimal pile of cameras' not including the ones that go on my car.

In car from the Dart. I have a gopro mount on the front bumper, I forgot to throw it on there for a run. Looking at the scuffs on the sidewalls, I think 15 psi is a bit low on the front of the Dart.

Burke results have been posted.

I had to change the website a bit as the results out grew the template.

Go to the website, click on Events.... it should bring you to:
http://www.hillclimb.org/events/event_ascutney.html

Click on the results tab.

You should now see the following tabs: Home, Events, followed by three tabs for the results.

If you do not see the three tabs, go back to the Events page (aka Ascutney and potentially for each of the other event pages) and click reload.

My best run wasn't particularly exciting, it really shows that it's time to start focusing on late-braking and that I REALLY need some more power. I'm flat-out (aside from shifting) until check 3. I had clean runs all weekend, which is great, but I wouldn't mind a little drama. If I can get a decent manifold and get Megasquirt to start playing nicely, I should have a little more power for Okemo, which is just what the car needs.
