Burke Info and Entry Form Posted

Post by kindabratty328 »

Hi all!

Event information and entry forms for Burke 1, June 13 and 14, are posted on www.hillclimb.org. Register early and bring a friend or two to drive or work. The more the merrier.

2009 KSCC Membership form is posted on www.kscc.org as well as a link to the event information and entry form for Burke 1.

It is EXTREMELY helpful if you can pre-register, as it give us a better idea of how many drivers there will be. Not only do you save money by registering by early, but it also makes it easier to plan the event.

Don't hesitate to call (860)873-8845, send an email or post here on the forum if you have questions or suggestions. Hope to see you all at the hill! :D

Nick... have you only driven Ascutney and Philo? I might add, first time at a hill with a cage will be Ascutney. Corners change when you don't have a breakout time.... change a lot.

The only one I havent done is Burke. My schedule in the past has never worked for driving. I have worked it for a few years.

Not worried about the cage. I know the guy who has his foot on the gas peddle. Going more for smooth than fast. Fast will come later. Just looking forward to watching the road and not a stop watch.

Hello Race fans!
The calender in clicked down the days until Burke I June 13-14. Deadline for discount expires for early entry June 2nd--so if you mail it out tomorrow, you'll save enough money for those stylin' fuzzy dice you've had your eyes on. (Or some beer-your choice.)
Heres the form http://hillclimb.org/events/burke/entry_form.pdf

Road fees are included in the entry-so the prices are the same as last year.
Gather up anything you can for the workers raffle-handled at this event by Smokey (right Smokey?)
Also there are some workers spots still open-so hurry + contact Sharon sharon@enter.net to get your pick of stations (she also said all of them will be dry all weekend.)
See you in 2 weeks!

Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Sent mine out last week! Worked on the car over the weekend. Should be ready to go! Last thing I need to do is install the fire extinguisher and I will be good!
