BURKE HILLCLIMB 2013

Post by kindabratty328 »

Hi Everyone,

Burke entry form and information for 2013 are posted under the events tab. What does this mean? It means you should all be printing out the entry form and getting it back to me with payment ASAP. After that's done, you should be lining up workers to bring with you for the event. And the last thing you should do is start counting the days!! Can't wait.

I'll be doing campsite reservations as well. Please send payment for camping at the same time you send in your entry. If you would like a specific site, let me know what the number is. Site map is listed along with the entry form and information sheet. I will reserve campsites for the 'usual suspects'.

Any questions, just ask.

Hope to see you all on the hill.

Michele

What an awesome weekend at Ascutney! Now it's time to move on to Burke. Please get your entries in as soon as possible. It's so much easier to plan the event when we have some idea upfront how many drivers and workers we will have. If you are planning to camp at the hill, it is also important to get in touch with me and let me know. There is a map of the campsite under the event on this site. If you have specific site requests, I will need to know that as soon as possible as well. Many sites are already spoken for. So, now that you are done reading this, you should be filling out your entry and check (please include fees for camping with your entry) and running to your mailbox to make sure you don't miss the opportunity to race up this beautiful mountain! Sadly, we never know when it might be our last Burke event given the many changes in ownership at the mountain

If you are driving, please bring as many workers as you can. Without enough workers, the event can't happen. If you are bringing workers and you know ahead of time, please get in touch with Samara Coble, our Worker Coordinator. You can touch base with her on the Facebook page KSCC BURKE HILLCLIMB 2013.

Hope to see you all on the hill. Any questions, just ask!

Unless we know there are campsites to spare, I'd feel bad about reserving a campsite for the 1.5 "miata-sized" parking spaces I actually need. I'm going solo, so trunk space limits my gear volume.

Someone let me know if there are plenty of sites to go around and I'll reserve one, or, I'll split costs with anyone that has an "under utilized" site.

Hi Amanda,

I've reserved site 6 for you guys. It's a great site and will have room for your van, trailer and the super chicken :D It's also right across from the bathrooms/showers which is a plus. You can look under the event tab for Burke and there is a campsite map if you want to see where it is. See you there!!
