Okemo II Media thread

Post by drummingpariah »

This month, I'm testing out no-login uploads (all you need is the password) on my NEHA media sever. I'd like to write a wrap-up summary on my website (www.driven-daily.com) but because I was driving all weekend, I didn't get any photos. If you have already sorted your photos or videos, please upload them into the appropriate folder for the car number. If you haven't organized your media, please put it in 'unsorted' and I'll go through them to identify which car each clip is from. In-car/on-car media is welcome as well.

Okemo II Folder
password: NEHA2014

I've found this system to be much friendlier than the array of flickr/picasa/etc for sharing, and Dropbox is very limiting on space (or very expensive if you want to store a lot of stuff). I have PLENTY of storage space (and PLENTY of room to grow in this server), and I'm happy to offer it up for any NEHA-related activities. Please let me know if you have any questions/comments; I'm constantly improving this system and trying to make it easier to use, and empower workers and drivers to share their media among one another.

I tried to add my pictures to the unsorted folder, but it said there's a 2MB upload limit?

I bumped it up to 20M. Let me know if you need more, but I'd like to see how this behaves with system resources before I go crazy with the limits.

If you're uploading video, I can make your life a lot easier by setting you up with the client (a lot like Dropbox). Shoot me a PM if you're interested in that.

Great video Froggy! 8-)
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Start is at 2:35 notice the complete lack of any sort of racing line through corner 8. Still my fastest run at 2:27.92.

I have a bunch of video to upload tonight, lots of great corner worker footage. I've also sorted the photos that I could identify into appropriate folders, and upgraded the software we're running. There may be some downtime on my server tonight; I need to replace a couple of hard drives that failed. That shouldn't take more than an hour, so if it's down when you try to use it just hold tight and be patient.
