Re: Okemo II pictures
Kevin.... that stick next to you.... I'm pretty sure it changes the gears.... you should use it more.
Kinda weird seeing you using the same gear (minus the straight) for the entire hill. Everyone else is shifting 87 times (3 gears x 29 corners).

3rd gear is my best friend forever! Good for almost any situation between 30 and 95 mph.
You think Okemo is bad, you should see Ascutney. I'm all done shifting before I get to the first corner. Two up shifts and then I can forget the clutch and shifter exist. I can probably go faster if I shift a bit more but I'm still finding time so I'll save it until my times level out for a few events.
Re: Okemo II pictures
I can attest that he doesn't have a shifter--he has a gear selector. After watching his in car before I drove it, I though going much slower I was gonna have to at least downshift to 2nd for turn 7-and possibly 8. Nope-pulled thru it fine. His shifter + tranny should last forever-I shift more in one run that he does all season! It has me thinking i may want to buy some of this torque everyone talks about...
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.
