Thank you to ALL the volunteers that came out this year to make the 2013 Mt. Philo a great success. I think this is the first year ever that I did not have to do the wire.

Perfect weather. Lots of personal records broken. Only one major off.

I'm starting to see people upload more video now, the in-car footage is great! I'll be able to put together full videos by midnight for anyone who uploads some incar/oncar footage by 5pm.

I tried... stated there wasn't enough space available... perhaps I filled it up with the two videos I put in "702"

Sorry, I'm still working out several minor bugs in this software. I just tested it myself with a 40mb file using the hillclimb username, with no issues. I don't see any kind of storage space limitations, there are still 4tb available on the server, and that account has 'unlimited' upload capabilities. How big is the file you're trying to upload?

I played around with a few microphone locations with my GoPro.

outside passenger door (one of my better runs):

I finished stringing your clips together yesterday, and am pretty impressed with the outcome. I don't know if it's possible on a GoPro, but if you can set a static exposure the leaves won't look as blown-out and saturated. It was a REALLY tough weekend, with all the small, moving clouds changing lighting every 30 seconds ... but I typically like to have more pure black shadows than pure white light spots.

If anyone has pictures or video of car 2X, the white fiero, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

I tried uploading one of my runs but the connection to the server is timing out before I ever get to even log in...

Ugh, just got off the phone with Comcast. They accidentally shut our block off altogether. I can't wait to get the new server into a colocation facility. (we should be back in business now, but DNS propagation to the new IP could take an hour or so.)
