gileadgarage wrote:Hi Steve,

can you sign me up for an RV spot? Can I pay on site?

So the RV camping is at the top? can I leave my trailer at the bottom or do i need to haul it up the hill?

Sorry, never been there before. I'll be in a Dodge PU w/ slide in camper if that makes any difference, any site would be fine.

Thanks,

Mark Penta
Information on the event is HERE

Specific reference on trailers:
All tow vehicles, trailers and non-race vehicles will need to be parked at the bottom of the hill in the parking lot.
I have saved you a spot at the top of the hill for your RV; payable at the event. The RV spots are at the north end of the parking lot.... please keep them close together to allow room for cars to park as it is tight.

Thanks
Steve

Less.
One sort of nasty bump at the last corner, the rest is darn smooth.
The down road is bumpy though, as they did culvert work or something, and those spots are akin to small speed bumps.

Hotel/Motel room for Philo

Post by squirrely_33 »

Hi Friends-
The time is near, and I should get my *ss in gear! Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced room in proximity to Philo. I'm too skinny to sleep on that cold mountain!

Thanks in advance, hope to see everyone at "the hill".

There are a number of hotels and motels listed in the entry/info form. I hvaen't updated the list in years, though.

Thanks. I did see that list. I was trying to get a better idea where others had stayed in the past. I'm sure I'll just head up and play the whole "place to sleep" situation by ear.

Thanks

Not recommended... it is fall... leaf peepers have the hotels/motels. Plan ahead.

Mike-Hearing hit+ miss stories of hotels on rt 7, I'd opt for super 8 (about 5 miles away from hill) Heard folks telling what they paid for a room-and the super 8 was cheapest by far. The one time I staying in a hotel, it was "parents weekend" at all the colleges--rooms were filled.

Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.
