Philo 2010 Photos & Videos, and Thanks All!

Post by Kiwi »

Post them here!
This is my quickest run - last run on Sunday.

Thanks to everyone who helped put on this event, to all the workers, those who stood (or sat) in the cold to make it happen. The event ran very smoothly, unfortunately interrupted sometimes with car incidents. Lots of work for everyone to do this winter, I'm sure.

The Ferrari barn was fantastic. I'll see if my video of the 275 V12 running is any good. Thanks for making that happen again!

Very Nice Jamie

Here are 2 of my videos.
White Subaru Impreza SP3 #11

Very Slippery, wet Saturday. You can see the rpm's climb everytime it broke traction.
My gearing sucks for the top of the hill. I could never tell if I wanted to be at redline in 2nd, or bogging in 3rd.

Little bit quicker in the "dry" on Sunday

Thanks to all involved with making this happen.

Here is one of my videos. My times were all slower than last year, but you'll have that with the wet pavement, leaves, and mud. My saturday videos are scary, back end trying to pass me often. Left foot braking was useless, couldn't keep it under control, so my confidence in the corners wasn't really there. I made a bad tire choice too. You know traction is low when I can get wheel spin in 3rd  . Still had a great time and the clacking old diesel made it home, so a successful weekend. Thanks again to all who set this up and ran/worked the event.

My first run saturday. I took it pretty slow. I actually didn't think the camera recorded it so I was kind surprised to see it myself lol. My second run was much much faster. My Trackmaster app said I was 10mph faster. You know until I drove into the embankment.

Last run on Sunday in the 4Ktq, the only run i shot vid (thanks for lending me the camera J). You'll hear my nasty missed shift after turn 1, heading toward rock turn. I was trying to grab 4th and missed, then had a hard time getting back into gear (in my defense the shift linkage is pretty bad: both stiff and sloppy). Run was 121.4xx, I might have broken out if not for that shift. Also, hard to hear it but I starved for fuel briefly near the top. If we were to do another run i would have had to get fuel. The angle of the vid is a bit weird since I had to put the camera on Pass side window.
That was fun, had a great time!

Oh yea, thanks to everyone involved with arranging the Ferrari barn tour, still can't believe what i saw there, incredible.
