The springs and retainers you're replacing were sourced from Ricky Craven's BGNN team in '89 or so. IIRC, they were titanium retainers, and the springs were "K-motion" or similar high-end stuff. I'm surprised at the interference marks on the rockers - as I had clearenced the old Crane rockers in a mill during the '89 build, surprised that new rockers were'nt checked for same interference.

I think the only interference issue was the piece of retainer that departed. All the other rockers looked fine. The new setup really woke up the engine at high rpm. I really had to recalibrate my right foot to keep out of the limiter in 1st and 2nd at philo. I'm very happy with the new setup. Next thing I've got to check out is the bottom and. Could probably use a refresh.......
