Kevin and Luke, If either of you is interested in some hoosier dirt track tires, we have the tires my dad ran at Mt Washington in 2011 and a couple brand new, never even mounted. Dad wants them out of the basement

They were on his 15x15 rims. I'll check exactly what size they are tonight

Picked up my new tow vehicle today. 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Should pull the race car better than the Toyota.

Progress report. Open differential made a HUGE difference in the car. It feels almost completely different. Im really enjoying the turn in, my speed through the tighter corners has increased dramatically. The drawback is its ability (or lack there of) to put power down. Off the line its a one wheel wonder, even straight and level the right rear wheel wants to spin in second and sometimes third gear. I definately need to scale the car when I get a chance. If you watch the video I posted in the Burke thread you'll see it takes me a full 2 seconds from green to pass the start light, and I was starting to move on the third yellow. there is more time to be had for sure, but I was still happy with my personal best of 2:25.84. With a few changes it shouldn't be a stretch to improve on that for Burke 2

Wonder if the old off roading trip might help. To gain traction off road with an open diff, you drag the brakes a little. A poor mans traction control of sorts. Slight brake pressure allows the diff to equalize.

Should be better to turn 1. Between check 1 and 2 it might be scarier. Even with no power, lots of toe in and skinny tires that part is a butt clincher.
The older I get the better I was.
