Setback on the Rotary Miata

Post by Chief Geek »

Hello all. Paul M here.

First: I'm OK, everyone is OK, no living things lost except for a couple of house plants.

Second: My Miata engine swap has suffered a major setback. Like, really major. Rich and I will need some pretty major luck to compete at all this year, but we'll be at the hills no matter what.

Third: I'm staying with Marge & Rich (Mom & Dad) for now because I can't stay at my house. The pictures are self explanatory.

Oh wow man, that sucks dude! Sorry for your loss, must be devastating to say the least, must be isn't even enough, it is..
I was excited to see a thread but I was expecting something totally different.
I'm not that excited now, bummed would be proper, but glad everyone is OK.
Not sure how I would be able to help but if there is something, let me know. Seriously.

Man that is terrible. We hope for the best for you to spring back from this.

Really sorry/sad to see that Paul. Glad no one got hurt. As others have said, I'm not sure what I can do to help. But if there is anything I could do, don't hesitate to ask.

For sure that Miata will be missed, but the good news is that we'll still see you guys at the hills!
You can always come for a fam run in the Frog Racing pesky Corvette or PrincesSTI! And now you have a chance of becoming the Daewoo hot shoe of the year, I heard the driving style is pretty close to a Miata in terms of footwork.

Good luck with the rebuild.

Kelly says if you need help with plans when rebuilding let her know.

The burnt hard drive made me extra glad of something I just did. About a month ago I installed a WiFi hard drive in the motorhome. Kelly and I backup to that in addition to local external drives. The idea was if the house burnt down and I lost everything in the house I'd at least still have the backup in the motorhome.

That just reminded me that I had handed one of my 4tb drives to you at the banquet. I'll assume it's a puddle of formerly magnetic metals.
