Well the modified is on the back burner until we buy a new house, until then I'm prepping a 1991 CRX Si for the rigors of uphill endeavors. Already posted this on sccv but some specific questions and tips from the hill climb set would be appreciated.

1991 Honda CRX Si prepped for SCCA class STS. It's a bunch of fun driving a car that weighs so little.




Putting the LS Meshies and all-season tires on for the drive home.

I gutted the car and sent it up to Joey Kale for a cage

Weight should be around 2,000lbs in this state, the cage will add some back.

Current Modifications:
KYB AGX shocks
Threaded Adjustable Spring Perches and 400lb QA1 springs
Front sway removed, three-way adjustable 22mm rear sway.
Camber plates/bolts/arms
Cat-back exhaust system
Poly bushings all over the place
Russell braided steal brake lines
Napa front brake pads, EBC Yellowstuff rears (gotta get that straightened out)
Removed AC and power steering
Corbeau A4 drivers seat
Removed Sunroof

Coming:
Momo Monte carlo wheel + Quick release
G-Force 6-point harness
New Helmet

So I'll need a power cutoff and a fire extinguisher, suggestions? What else should I look into? Also I have an old Simpson single layer fire suit is that going to be ok with the new "Have a cage need a firesuit" rule?

Thats not really how it was meant to come across. The idea is if you need a cage because you are faster than the breakout time-then you need a firesuit. But nobody is gonna argue with no matter how fast you are-both are good safety items to have. That being said, then yes, it will be fine.

I realize the intent of the rule, I just hadn't seen any requirements on the suit beyond that so i wanted to double check in reference to the rule itself. I'm going to look into picking up some undergarments as well.

I'll have to work pretty hard to hit breakout times I think but we'll see. The cage is all for safety and my wife's peace of mind.

I saw that for sale not 2 long ago, in Maine if I remember correctly, looks decent for the $

Yes this car has been run with CMC for two years (it even hit a course worker according to a couple sources).

$1000 with a set of rims and brand new Azenis (not my favorite tire) and it runs like a top. Hard to beat.
