I have had at least one bolt on all my calipers seize up. Never broke a caliper, but the threads have always stripped out of the caliper. Most people get to experience this problem with these brakes. Steel bolt in an aluminum caliper you are almost guaranteed to have this happen. Most of the time you can fix them, but not in your case. Its good they are going to fix them for you. from the dealer you can get a caliper for about 750 for a front. Or you can do what I did and find a lightly used complete set(front and rear) for about 1200. Then you have spares. Best of luck and see you at the next one.

...for future reference, I have all sorts of spare sti parts including brembos, so if you are ever in a bind again and need to get to an event last minute, dont hesitate to call or shoot me a message..

I completely understand the feeling of needing one tiny little part that no one has locally which in turn ruins a weekend of racing..it sucks..
