'84 GTI Build

Post by MFlynn »

Hey guys,
I figured it's about time I started posting on here, for both questions I have and your opinions.
To get you all caught up, I'm building an SP rabbit
So far I've been posting here-

So, I want to run fuel lines inside, but does this interfere with any rules? SCCA or hillclimb?
I plan to do brake lines inside as well, especially because I want the prop valve accessible.
For the fuel lines, I'm assuming they need to be braided line inside?

What about steel tubing? Its cheaper and pretty easy to work with a couple hand tools.
The older I get the better I was.

Steel should be fine.

Just avoid naked rubber hoses and hose clamps inside the car for either brake or fuel lines.
The older I get the better I was.

We are also cool with the old standby of fuel hose run through electrical conduit - either the traditional EMT or the "oil tight" flexible. just don't run it thru structure! Or inside the same conduit as the battery + cable......

I got some of the oil tight flexible conduit, I'll try to make that work.
