Preffered material for coolant lines

Post by DaveEstey »

I'm running coolant lines to the back of the car through the passenger compartment. My primary choice of material is 6061 T6 aluminum tubing 1" OD x .93" ID with flex hoses at the engine end to allow some movement.

Is there a material that would be preferred by tech inspectors or am I OK? I'm trying to avoid the costs of buying 18-20 feet of large OD stainless braided line.

Thats the same set up I use-except mine run down my driveshaft tunnel. Just make sure you have a barb on the end of the pipe + you wrap rubber where you mount it. ( I use rad. hose)

Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.
