Sounds like it should be OK.

1.25" .135" has a moment of inertia that is about 75% of 1.5" .095, but for shoulder harness bar use it should be adequate. I wanted to clarify so someone didn't take what I wrote to mean they were the same and build a cage from it.
The older I get the better I was.
