When the classification worksheet refers to non-stock induction, does this mean a change from n/a to forced, or any change on the intake side of the engine?
Thanks

I beleive this relates to any change, as we spell out a different change for (turbo)supercharging.

So does this mean that changing cams would cause no adjustments, while changing the carb would?

Without looking through the rules to give you an exact answer, I can see this being the case simply because changing a carb is clearly provable, while changing cams cannot be proven easily without taking things apart. As with any rules, some of our rules have to be on a sort of an honor system, because we don't have the resources to tear engines apart in tech.
As an answer to your original question, I believe this would encompass any aftermarket CAI, intake manifold, etc, as well as a turbo/supercharger like John said.

We actually do... we just don't have the resources to put them back together.3rdgendennis wrote:we don't have the resources to tear engines apart in tech.

Thanks for the answers. I have a car that is built for another type of auto x and I am trying to class it for hill climb. Depending on if cams are considered induction would move it from SP6 to SP5. I am an honest person so I just am looking for a yes or no does changing the cam invoke the non stock induction adjustment in SP, whether someone can prove it or not?
Thanks

Even it the rules don't require it you probably want to go with S5 since the spirt of the rule is the engine hasn't been altered.

My take is valves and cams dont constitute "non-stock induction". Manifolds, throttle bodies, etc. do.steve108 wrote:Thanks for the answers. I have to agree with Kevin. The "sprit of the rule" is easier to interpret. It does say, stock.
