VW transaxle

Post by sdwarf36 »

AWY ('90 Diesel) 3.94 final-- 3.45 1.94 1.44 1.13 0.89
Greasy but it works fine.
Hows $75 for club members -$100 for non-members sound?
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

The AWY is usually 3.67 final drive. Is 3.94 a typo or was it rebuilt with the R:P from another 020?
The older I get the better I was.

I took the numbers from a gear chart I found at a vw site. The trans came out of my car-i'm the 2nd owner +know they weren't changed prior.
