History
In 1973, the Datsun 240z incorporated all current technology available (overhead cam engine, or disc brakes, or independent suspension) into brilliantly conceived car. Customers that saved their money for the Opel GT, MGB-GT or Porsche 914 found the Datsun 240z specs and price tag more their liking. Referred to as the "z-car" it had a habit of keeping your neighbor's sports cars in the slow lane. The z hit an impressive 16.1 quarter mile at 86.5 mph at Orange County Raceway beating the Triumph TR6 by 1 second or 9mph faster and the Porche 911T. This is even more impressive given its 2.4-liter single-overhead-cam 6 powered with the help of two SU's and a 9.0 to 1 compression ratio. This creates 151HP @ 5,600rpm with room before the 7,000rpm! Not bad for a car that originally sold for $3,601.00!

Following the successful 240z launch, in 1974, Nissan modified its design to a newer bumper, emissions regulations and a slightly bigger engine with 2.6 liters. With the newer model and similar engine design started the engine swap/modification revolution!

This car accepts part from 240, 260 and 280Z chassis which gives it a opportunity to customize handling and power.

This particular car was originally from California I’m told and made its way to Boston where it survive on the streets gaining toughness and a few bruises as well. It has survived at least three race teams in the New England Hill Climb series and is still going strong. This says a lot about the cars design and handling nature. It is a good car to learn on and it has a opportunity for being take to the next level.

Package Price..... $2,000
