FS 2000 Subaru 2.5rs coupe $3800 obo

Post by sachilles »

My second attempt at selling this car. Had several offers last time, then the wife got cold feet and pulled the plug. Well, she wants a 2017 outback, and this car represents our down payment.

Approximately 164k miles on the chassis. Small rust bubble on passenger side rear fender. Also drivers fender lip.
Many little dents and dings. Far from perfect. As far as I can tell it had some sort of body repair before I bought it. It's not obvious or done poorly.
I've put a used short block in it.
It has newer struts.
It will come with 99rs wheels with snow tires.
It has the CEL for cat efficiency. Uses some oil, but has no leaks. Needs a boot on the steering rack.
100% stock, aside from an aftermarket radio with bluetooth, and a usb port in the dash pocket and the non correct year rims.
Car is available from Wednesday 10/26 on.

Not a perfect car. It looks great in pictures...but it has plenty of paint blemishes. It will not be a show car.
It's a step above a winter beater. Could be the good basis for a race car build. Take it rallycrossing or ice racing as is and not think twice about it. It's worth swapping a turbo motor into as well. One of the very few RS' in northern New England that doesn't have a swiss cheese rear quarter panels.

Must view/test drive the car in person. $3800 or best offer. I have it advertised at this price around the usual spots, significant discount for a neha regular.

Outback over the Wrangler? I'm surprised!

Safety ratings on the wrangler pretty much killed it for her.
We've borrowed a 2017 3.6 outback from the work fleet for the last couple of days and she loves it.

You get any kind of company discount?
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Well, "safety first" is always the best route to take.
