Formula Vee, allowed to race?

Hi, I have had a Formula Vee project in my shed for a few years that I've been dying to build but not sure where to race it. I think it would make a Very fun hillclimb car but wasn't sure if it is something that would be allowed to race. Like I said its a project so I wouldn't mind doing any modifications to it that would be needed to be able to race and fit into the right class. I did read the classification rules but thought this was a bit of an odd case being an open wheel race car. Thanks for any input, can't wait to start putting it together!
