Bill told me about the problem at holding - turned out to be a problem with one of the battery terminals on the 6V battery.
Any others? Thanks.
Anyone know of issues with the comm headsets?

At CP4, Ruth (who was on the phones all day) did not mention any issues.

I had a fella named Chris doing the phones on CP5 and they worked great, as did Chris. I did like the speaker system with no feed back!!
I have been talking on our systems since they were tin cans and string, they have evolved nicely.

If it gets any better, the cell phone Co's will sue us for makin' em look bad. I have heard them as clear before this (Right after Karen "tuned up" the wire and fitted new speakers), but the latest (version Walter 1.0) upgrades and the new timing system make them absolutely wonderful!
And not to slight those who have slaved over phones and wire in the past - Dick Fenton, Perl Benner, Gary Pike, John Marsha, Ray Gonthier, The Gales, and I'll take a small bow for the new wire reel axle and crank.

Only update i see needed is a way to pin the steering wheel on the reel.
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

I was going to use an old quick release steering wheel for our wire wheel as opposed to the fixed VW steering wheel, but that was a selling point of the shell I sold (and should have kept)sdwarf36 wrote:Only update i see needed is a way to pin the steering wheel on the reel.

Thanks everyone. Good to hear. Once my next gen headsets are fully implemented I think it will get even better.
