The thing that occurs to me is with long straps like shown wont the lower bar swing back and forth and wont that banging on your arm be a distraction?
The older I get the better I was.

Could be..... Suggestions for installation options?

Thanks for everyone's input.... I finally figured out that I was over thinking the whole thing. Checked out Chris O.'s WRX (has the same side cage design)..... Ordered yesterday; upper bar with GM buckle, lower bar style with weld-on tabs for mounting points on the cage. All good.
