I hear the long course is intended to be run this spring which is excellent news.

I'm not sure who is doing what, but I'm available all day Friday to help if needed. I know it's a long way out.
Unsure if you run one spool of wire for the whole long course, or two spools, with the second starting at the short course finish. Happy to work wire crew on the second spool if that is needed.
Obviously we'll need more workers, so I'll drag in as many folks as I can. Hopefully others can do the same.
Are there any additional supplies needed for the long course, that we should start beating the bushes for?

Seth,

My understanding is that Don T and Drew are chairing the spring Ascutney. The large wire spool ends at the normal finish so we will use a spare (smaller) roll to go the rest of the way to the top. We have signs for the top section in the trailer already and I'm sure we'll be reviewing the other items (fire extinguishers, etc) before the event.

I think we end up adding 4 more checkpoints above the normal finish so that means an extra 8 workers. We also tried to staff a few intermediate checks (1A, 6A and 7A) on the lower hill the last few years so bring all the workers that you can!

Just got my camping reservation. The key word to use on the phone is "auto race". We'll be doing wings again, at site 35 Friday evening. Likely other fryables, like fried Oreos and s'more bombs. Feel free to bring your own thing you want cooked in oil. Bring your own Lipitor.

Dibs on the oil!
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

put them in your trailer now so you don't forget, it's not like they'll go bad.
