D# on goodyear race slicks
I've got a set of 4 Goodyear race slicks that I'm going to use for SLMP in upstate NY. Two are market D2402 and the others are D2372. Is this something to do with tire compound? And if so which is softer, because I want to put those on the front.

Re: D# on goodyear race slicks
The "D" number on Goodyear bias race tires is a unique identifier - casing construction, size, and compound. Last I knew, the compound # on Goodyears was A) embossed/branded like the D# B)2 or 3 digits, softer/lower: harder/higher is the usual rule within a similar application & time C)Prefaced with a single letter, sometimes keyed to application, i.e. M40 is Mod Tour LF, M300 is RR
