BURKE 2 (Yes, really!!)

Post by kindabratty328 »

:D The new owners of Burke Mountain have very generously offered us a second hillclimb date for this season. After checking their available dates and our available dates, we have settled on August 23 - August 25. We are very excited about finally getting our second event back and hope this continues for many years to come! We are fortunate to be starting off on the right foot with the new management.. they actually seem to like us and are willing to work WITH us, which is awesome.

Adding a second Burke means that anyone running for points can now drop two events and still be eligible. 8-)

Put the date on your calendar. Hope to see you all there. Entry and information forms will be posted here soon.

Any questions, just ask.

Thanks again to everyone who worked so hard to make Burke 1 such a success despite the many 'challenges' :!:

On my list of "things to do better next time." 8-)
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Great news! Unfortunately that is the same weekend Robin and I drop Kate off at WPI for the first time. If I do not need to use the truck to move Kate, I will send my Dad up with the Mutt.

Does this mean the dates for Okemo 2 are still 8/9 thru 8/11?

As of today, Okemo 2 is still 8-09 thru 8-11 barring no diesel spills on the road.

Lucky man. As I recall my wife once took the twins to a family reunion we couldn't get out of without me, so I could go to a hillclimb. It was even a reunion for my side of the family. I still owe her for that one.
