DUDE!!! Sorry but I'm pretty stoked.

I just picked up the fly-cutter I busted out the other night from getting a fresh edge and it works awesome!
The possibilities, hehe... And all for some time, 3 hours and $40.00 to get sharpened compared too $400.00 if I had bought it. Sweet...






So now I'll bore the case out first for the larger jugs so I can build the bottom-end and establish my deck height.

Not that this will happen anytime soon but I need a car hauler.
And I have an old, 1979, VW bus in the yard I'd hate to see die so... What to do...
Bam!!! Why not make a car hauler out of the bus!!

I think this would be the ultimate use for it.

The hot import shop in my fathers day was run by a guy named Roger Barr. (Who you can see on Chasing classic cars-he works for Wayne Carini.) He used to have an arangement like this-a transporter to haul his Formula Vee.

I found this little jem and then found the build thread for it. Hehehe...
It's hard to believe but most of it is standard type-1 parts.
I believe I have found my direction for this winter.

This engine is out of Sweden built by JPM. Who make some of the sickest Throttle bodies for a VW.

*QUESTION!* I need to have my rotating assembly balanced this winter anyway and I want it to be perfect!
Like .2 gram on the crank and .1 gram for the rod and pistons. The parts are up to the task.
It needs to spin 7500 rpm. Anyone out there know who dose this to race tolerance?

I've used some "local" shops and really wasn't to impressed with the quality. Like leaving burs on the end caps after grinding, no good.
Or balancing the crank then having it ground, what the heck how dose that work?

I had my 2.0 16V block bored, trued and decked by Century Automotive Machine in Waltham, Ma. They also took care of the balance on the rotating mass, but they dont do it there, they sent it out. I dont know who did ut, but I am sure they will be happy to name them. I have been VERY happy with all the work.

They were recommended to me by Brian's Garage in Needham - an independent Audi/VW specialist shop. Brian races VW's and uses them for his engine machine work.
