2014 Ascutney 2 Media Thread

It's almost here! I wanted to get ahead of the game a bit for this event, and proactively lay the groundwork for people to drop off their media. I fetched the attendee listings from motorsportreg and autogenerated folders for each car to make organization simpler.

Upload Client
If you want to upload automatically, you can install the Windows, OSX, or Linux client. Installation is easy (instructions are available). To prevent downloading a ton of stuff, remove the default sync folder and add a sync for the event (or car number within that event) you're looking for.
Wireless Media Dock
I'm also bringing along a spare hard drive with a wireless interface. If you have an Android device, you'll want to install FileHub to manage your uploads. I'll have a few devices with me as well, to make life easier. In short, you'd plug your camera or SD card in then use your Android device to connect to the hub and tell the hub what to copy and where using your device. It's pretty straightforward once you've done it before. The goal is (once again) to make it easy for everyone to share their race media with one another.
Spare Worker Cameras
I'll have some spare cameras that are available to any workers willing to take them to their checkpoints. They're easy to operate, and have remote controls (although I haven't tested the remote controllers out yet). I have just enough to have one on each checkpoint throughout each day, and I'd love to be able to get clips of all the cars from each checkpoint. If you have your own camera and want to share photos/footage, that's even better!
