I'll have my race pajamas, but have had some kinking problems with the new steel that I had ordered so I'll probably be driving the miata again for Ascutney. I was really hoping to get rid of the X on the side of the car for this season, but it looks like it won't be until the next event.

No-then people will think you are a road racer.
I've seen that a bunch of times. 7 am at the hotel-road racers that dont have to run till noon in the lobby or eating breakfast all suited up. I mean-how else you gonna tell that thay are RACERS.

I've tried calling Ascutney a couple times to reserve a site, but their answering machine states that they're closed for the winter. Am I missing something here?

They don't have someone answering the phones at all times. It is technically still pre-season, so the only person there is the park ranger. Last year I left a message and the ranger called back
