Just wanted to thank all the Workers, Drivers, Crew, and Chair People for a Great event --- what a fantastic group of volunteers and participants we have at our events.

It was especially great to see so many novices in all areas, appearing to have a fun time.

I wish my schedule allowed me to attend more events as I do miss spending more time with all of you.

Best to All ----

Drew

From Smokey (Sep 21, 2015) on Facebook
Was asked, on short notice, to do award presentations at Ascutney yesterday. Unfortunately, CRS is beginning to creep in over the past few years and I inadvertently neglected to recognize, at the presentations, the efforts of some key people who were responsible for a great hill climb. Therefore, apologies to: Don Taylor and Venessa Vittum as co-chairs of the event; the Young brothers and Valliere brothers for their work and dedication to this event not only the past weekend but for their many years; Paul Giblin, Lance Smith, and all of the individuals responsible for organizing the tribute to Nelson.
I promise to do better the next time, if I can only remember.

Oh and I just want to complain. This is what Ascutney did to my transmission. I'm blaming it all on the mountain. The massive amount of torque the engine puts out and warm sticky tires had nothing to do with it.
