I need to create a tone generator for our hillclimb timing system and would like to cannibalize the guts from a working touch tone phone. I actually recycled 3 of them just a month or so ago before I know I would be asked to come up with this generator.
So, if anyone has one that works - more or less - and wouldnt mind bringing it along to Ascutney to donate to the cause, the NEHA timing system effort and I would appreciate it a lot.
More or less working means as far as you know when you press a button it generates a tone. The condition of the case, any batteries, the earpiece and mouthpiece and buttons themselves dont matter as they will not be reused for this.
Thanks!

Phone no longer needed
Since no one seemed to have kept any old touch-tone phones around to donate, I bought parts to make a new tone generator and a spare.
